In the fast-action shooting battle
that ensued at the Prison's Oval yesterday, visitors Harbour
View shot into the lead within the first 16 seconds of the
start. Hatrick man Jomo Gordon slipped by goalkeeper Allen
Whittacker to slot home the first of three strikes that
followed in minutes 14 and 19 to register the first hatrick
this season. The wet surface made attacking by two very
competent attacking units extremely easy to please the crowd,
scoring at regular instances throughout between the continuous
showers.Patrick Beech responded for Rivoli before halftime
(37th) then substitute Nicholas McCreath scored from a one-two
combination with Fabian Taylor in minute 67. Rivoli again
fought back to score in minute 72 with a header from Shawn
Simpson only to see the dominant Harbour View midfielder
Daniel Shaw convert another Fabian Taylor assist in minute 87
to close the seven goal spree, leaving Harbour View
temperarily at the top of the Premier League tables with 17
points.
