As we continued the hunt for the trophy, we moved into a more challenging third round. From this round only the winner would advance. The “View” had to play Constant Spring Football Club twice on a home and away basis. We drew the first game 0 – 0 at Constant Spring, four (4) days later the second match was played at Harbour View, we were behind 2 goals in the first half. The “View” came out the dressing room like a lion poised, substitute John-Ross Edwards came up with a spectacular right-footed shot as he fired home the equalizer, Harbour View 2 Constant Spring 2. Minutes later he repeated the feat, this time from 27 yards out, he sunk Constant Spring with a thunderous right footer that sent them packing, Harbour View3 Constant Spring 2.

Similarly, in the third round Meadheaven in home and away games, the “View” won the first game 1 -0. We collected ourselves and did what was expected of us by defeating our opponent 2 – 0 at home in a very exciting match. The “View” must now meet face to face with the strongest team in the semifinals Real Mona Football Club. Once again, we went behind 0-1 and came back to score before halftime. The “View” went down 0 – 1 and came back and scored at half time the score was now 1 – 1 in the second half. Again, Real Mona scored to lead 2-1 and despite our best efforts in attack could not get the equalizer, hence Real Mona advance to the final.

Harbour View defeated Waterhouse in the third place play-off by 2-0, while Real Mona went on to win the championship by defeating Shortwood 1 – 0. The “View” gave a good account of themselves by placing third overall. We played the maximum games that any team could play.
